Alison Brie and Jason Sudeikis star in this romantic comedy written and directed by Leslye Headland. Lainey and Jake (Brie and Sudeikis), who lost their virginity to each other in college, have found it difficult to maintain healthy, monogamous relationships since that fateful night 12 years ago, owing to an over-reliance on sex. One of the best chill-out movies about (non-)relationships, with characters you’re rooting for though they have more flaws than positive traits. The New York setting is ideal, as this is how it works in big cities – you can have loads of sex, but a nice, stable relationship is out of reach. A likable, natural duo with honest and fitting dialogue that doesn’t pull any punches.

Nice! I almost can't believe it, but this is an American movie, and it's also a romantic comedy, and on top of that, it's good. Actually, it's really good. Jason Sudeikis is back in a role after a long time, and he's good in it. Such roles should be given to more good comedic actors so they can show that they can act. The chemistry here works perfectly for me, and it doesn't even matter that there isn't too much sexual explicitness.
