Young, beautiful, and sentenced to death. Robert Glinski's film is a brave attempt at a new adaptation of a story everybody knows in Poland. Glinski tries to narrate the traditional topic in the language of modern cinema, making it attractive for today's viewers. The story of teenagers whose dreams are destroyed by war, yet who try to survive the unexpectedly brutal passage to adulthood, stirred up a lot of controversy – especially for the attempt to maximally liken the young war generation through mentality and way of speech to the youth of today. English The Polish reaction to the resistance groups in Poland during WWII that from the cinematic point of view makes most of the series of scenes where the Gestapo quite brutally tortures one of the local scouts. Of course the movie is not just about that. The movie is filmed in a fast-paced way, it is dynamic and its content is really interesting. I’m sure that this piece will not get lost among other WWII dramas or Polish films in general. ()
