English The seventh season of adventures of my favorite detective made it clear to me right in the opening episode that the screenwriters have at least heard of Michael Connelly and maybe even read something by him, but they were not too influenced by it. While I can't put down the author's books until I finish reading them, this episode didn't hold my attention too much. I'm used to the political scheming of the police in Connelly's stories, but what bothered me was the amount of completely unnecessary, filler dialogue that only stretched the plot instead of moving it forward. To sum it up, very little happened in those approximately forty minutes, and I'm disappointed because I expected a much more dynamic plot. I'm willing to go as high as three stars because it was just an introductory episode to the new season. / Lesson learned: There's no smoke without fire. 3*- ()
