English An immensely boring erotic horror film that fails to utilize its beautiful lead actress and especially struggles to work as a horror. This is such a barren spectacle that Franco quite surprised me because he definitely had the potential to direct much more interesting films, overall bolder ones. ()

English Though Female Vampire doesn’t have a plot, you could cut its dreamy atmosphere and eroticism with a knife. Lynchian in style, it’s a cheap, trashy soft-porn flick about a hungry vampire and her antics on a small European island. The film exists in several versions, some of which are pure horror without the sexual tone (the vampiress sucks blood), while others are purely erotic without the horror (the vampire fucks people to death!). Because of this, all of the scenes with the victims were shot twice – once as horror and once as erotic. I am honored to own the longest version, a 101-minute amalgamation of pure sexual fantasies. The main character – the immensely sexy vampiress Lina Romay – wears nothing but leather boots for the entire film and spends 90% of the runtime fucking, sucking, masturbating and engaging in lesbian sex. Female Vampire is a disaster as a horror movie or regular film, but it’s wonderfully titillating and provocative as Spanish erotic trash. ()
