Is it possible to reconstruct a whole world from a few petrified footprints? Palaeontologist Cajus Diedrich can. Largely unnoticed by the rest of the world, he discovered strange tracks in a quarry in central Germany that were 240 million years old, the likes of which had never before been found in Europe. The trail was many meters long.
The doc accompanies the scientist as he attempts to reconstruct what happened in the area during that period from the traces available. How did they move about? How did they hunt? What did they eat? In order to answer these questions, he doesn't just stick to the textbook of classical palaeontology. He also resorts to a good dose of boy scout ingenuity. The "Dinosaur Code" Diedrich seeks to crack offers us an entirely new picture of the Triassic age. (official distributor synopsis)
