Diary from the Revolution

The Libyan-born 31-year-old Nizam Najjar has lived the past ten years in Norway. During the summer of 2011, he decides to go and fight for his native country. Shot with a hand-held camera, the film covers the gritty side of the war while discussing the complicated notion of nationalism. Access to the rebels' inner circle does not eventually solve the greater battle inside Nizam himself. The better tomorrow is still far away, even after the dictator has been overthrown. Johanna Siik.
