Mills of Hell

1950. The Soviet scholarship of the law student Flandera is prevented by his former lover through reporting him anonymously and Flandera, who thus becomes suspecious has to do manual labor for a whole year. He meets Károlyi who is soon arrested, and he forms a relationship with a female conductor who becomes pregnant from him. In court Flandera does not bear evidence against Károlyi, thus conquering the heart of the daughter of the judge. Flandera and Nagyezsda marry, despite all the efforts of judge Altschuler. The career of Flandera starts again. Once he meets Erzsi in the street, who raises their common child alone. Nagyezsda lets the man go to Erzsi and commits suicide.
