Plots(1)

Frank Martin (Ed Skrein) a former special-ops mercenary, is now living a less perilous life - or so he thinks - transporting classified packages for questionable people. When Frank's father (Ray Stevenson) pays him a visit in the south of France, their father-son bonding weekend takes a turn for the worse when Frank is engaged by a cunning femme-fatale, Anna (Loan Chabanol), and her three seductive sidekicks to orchestrate the bank heist of the century. Frank must use his covert expertise and knowledge of fast cars, fast driving and fast women to outrun a sinister Russian kingpin, and worse than that, he is thrust into a dangerous game of chess with a team of gorgeous women out for revenge. English Sure, Statham would have pushed Skrein around, but within the "made by L.B." genre, it’s decent enough, and compared to the new Hitman, it’s literally an action Ph.D. I want a new reboot where the main character is Frank Sr. ()

English An unbelievable mixture of routine and yawning action and a retarded semi-chick-flick where, instead of by the timid junior, the central role is played by his macho father Ray Stevenson, the only character who has at least some fuel here. Just like the Hitman restart, it’s unbelievably awkward. Delamarre is shooting a lousy commercial for Audi. Even there, they seem like boring posh cars. ()

English I just don’t get why Luc Besson felt the need to refuel The Transporter. And just formally at that. Because this has nothing to do with the original Transporter. The main character is atrocious and the story is a load of bullcrap. For example, I still don’t get why those three chicks in those blond wigs kept hanging around the transporter. But the action and fight scenes were decent. They might have been awfully overdone, but not so much as the second or the third one was. Imagine any car chase in the game series Need For Speed and you’ll understand just how very overdone they are. Everything else was a C-grade mess. ()

English Why? I really don't understand why something like this was filmed. It doesn't have even a bit of the storytelling interest of the previous trilogy. Most importantly, it doesn't have Jason Statham, who is simply irreplaceable. Ray Stevenson was fine, he had one or two good scenes, here and there it was supposed to look quite cool, but this is something that simply cannot captivate with anything. ()
