Portrait imaginaire

On April 9, 1982, Alain Resnais put together a compilation film made up of clips from the films of Andrzej Wajda for the FR3 television station. This short film was presented as part of a collective broadcast reacting to General Jaruzelski's declaration of a state of emergency. The politically open letter is a portrait of Poland as viewed through the work of one of its most significant filmmakers.
