The film tells a real-life story in the original environment, partly played by the original actors. The spring of 1959. Everywhere in the country the organisation of agricultural co-operatives is fully underway. Campaigner Müller arrives in Sokoró-pátka, a little village in the county of Győr-Sopron. He tries to persuade the farmers to enter the co-op with sheer force, without giving any reasons or arguments. But the dog-headed farmers stick to their views, and all the men in the village go up to the hill to escape the campaign. The delegation that arrives the next day is led by secretary Baló. Müller is removed, and Baló starts persuading the slowly returning farmers one by one, and eventually all of them sign the declaration. Sometimes later, the villagers recount the events of the two days in a merry atmosphere. (official distributor synopsis)
