English Love Parade? It's madness of the coarsest grain, highlighted only by the completely inconsistent casting of different personalities of the time such as Zarah Leander or Michèle Mercier (or Anita Ekberg and Heinz Erhardt). It's a good thing that the aging diva was able to give us one last performance of her hits "Eine Frau wird erst schön durch die Liebe," known from Magda, and Bei Dir war es immer so schön. In contrast to the scenes of this red-headed matron is a separate storyline of modern-day Franziska, who in playing Marie Antoinette definitely convinced me that Angélique should have been set a hundred years later. It would then fit better with the second half of The Tricky Game of Love. ()
