Breath - Beyond the obvious

Our vital organs work without our realising or controlling it. As a subject for his excellent documentary essay, debuting director Eli Roland Sachs chose breathing – a vital function that is subject to a great number of mythical as well as mystical connotations that have been woven around it. His film is a random display of people who either want to or have to be aware of their breathing, plan it or even voluntarily resist it. (IFF Bratislava)
