English Ross Kettle's play tackles the problems of late apartheid. In the film, the three-actor solo is ever-present, and from a cinematic standpoint, there's nothing extra here. Paul Bettany plays a career soldier who is blinded by his racist upbringing, Louise Lombard is a dancer who is cornered, and Ariyon Bakare as Vusisizwe becomes the catalyst for all the emotions... A raw, straightforward drama, which unfortunately loses out through inappropriate promotion. ()
