English A similar case as with the recent Deathgasm: surprisingly good reviews in Rotten Tomatoes, but I’m not into wannabe funny bollocks like this. In the first story I said “OK, it’s B quality, but well shot and atmospheric, average so far and I’m curious about what’s next”. And what was next was unfortunately worse. When someone by pure chance comes up with an idea that is at least a little interesting (Friday the 31st), they have to fuck it up with a stupid alien. I wanted to kill myself. Overall, I’m pretty sure that after a couple of weeks I will not remember a single one of all those Halloween tales. ()

English Disappointing. The stories are mostly just average, none outright trash, but none of them will make you fall on your ass either. It's shot competently, the make-up effects are solid, the gore is rather mediocre (except for the massacre in the barn with the giant redneck), and the occasional playful twist is nice, but I expected more. Neil Marshall and Mike Mendez were the most interesting. Darren Lyn Bousman was a disappointment. Story 6/10, Atmosphere 7/10, Gore 6/10, Visuals 6/10, Action 6/10, Entertainment 6/10. 65% ()

English The fact that the creators tried to cram humor into almost all the stories at any cost probably bothers me the most. Tales of Halloween would have been an interesting short story collection if the creators had also attempted to have a more serious tone. However, it seemed to me that perhaps none of the stories were really serious, that none of them had a proper, horror-like atmosphere because of it, where I even thought it could inspire fear or a slight tingle.
