Pierre and Manon make low-budget documentaries and live off odd jobs. When Pierre meets a young trainee, Elisabeth, she becomes his mistress. A great probe into the dark corners of a relationship. They loved each other so much that they started cheating on each other. A small example of how admitting infidelity isn't necessarily good, but neither is hiding it... how differently men and women perceive infidelity... and where all of this can lead. The length of the film is just right to keep it from getting boring, and after the passions calm down, the pleasantly romantic ending is a delight.
