Plots(1)

In Ride Along, fast-talking security guard Ben Barber (Hart), newly accepted into the academy, joined James Payton (Cube)—a quick-tempered Atlanta Police Department detective—to patrol the streets of Atlanta. In an attempt to prove that he was more than just a video-game junkie, Ben tried to show his future brother-in-law that he deserved to marry James' sister, Angela (TIKA SUMPTER of Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas, Get on Up). While on what was supposed to be a typical ride along, Ben became entangled in the detective's latest case...and experienced the most insane 24 hours of his life. (Universal Pictures US)

English Under different circumstance, I quite like these buddy action movies. With this one, however, I couldn’t understand why they turned the otherwise interesting car chase into a game video from “Grand Theft Auto 3”. Including the graphics. And that wasn’t even the only stupid scene in this movie. An incredibly chatty Kevin Hart along with the wacky Ken Jeong won’t save the movie either. So, what else can I say? I will happily avoid this piece next time. ()

English Buddy movies are films that I generally like, but this is just recycling everything you could have seen during the entire filming of these movies. Moreover, when it comes to police officers, there is basically not a single good idea, not a single original joke here. And yet, for some reason, it's not garbage to me. Yeah, one of the reasons will be Olivia Munn. ()
