A return to Rochefort, the setting of Jacques Demy's 1967 film, The Young Girls of Rochefort. A documentary chronicling the making of this musical, The Young Girls Turn 25 examines the fading of memories and the special significance attached to a certain place. A film festival is being held in Rochefort to mark the 25th anniversary of Jacques Demy's The Young Girls of Rochefort. Merging footage of both summers, Agnes Varda creates a colourful documentary featuring interviews with townspeople who were present at the shooting, friends of the film and actors Catherine Deneuve, Jacques Perrin and George Chakiris.
