The film tells the life of Tito Pereyra since his childhood in a town of Tucuman (with an absent father) until the 1980s in Buenos Aires, when democracy was restored. During that period he makes decisions that will change his life forever. The film depicts a human being with both bright and dark aspects. It is the story of a survivor in a hostile society, who from childhood to adultness and with great effort and ambition has fought to change his destiny. (Cine Argentino)

English CineArgentino 2015 - This happened to me for the first time, and I hope it was also the last time. I went to the cinema with enthusiasm (which I always feel that when I go) only to fall asleep while watching this film. And it must be added that I wasn’t the only one. The Black Cat has a terrible problem. It has a pretty good idea, but the way it is filmed is so terribly boring that I haven’t experienced a more boring film in a long time. Well, let’s say I might’ve seen a few stupider movies, yes, but never a more boring one. And the worst part is that these two boring hours have bright moments here and there because it’s still not completely stupid. But these bright moments are brutally dragged down by scenes where the Argentine Matthew McConaughey wanders through life and shows us how he climbed from the bottom to the top only to fall to the bottom again. For me this was so far the most deadening experience from the cinema where I kept waiting for the end credits to roll. ()
