English From the slowly swelling series of thrillers and horror films where someone or something terrorises hollow teenagers with modern technology, this one is among the best. During the first 15 minutes or so I thought it wouldn’t work, because the two main characters are top-class bellends. But their carefree wankering about is fortunately over soon, and a mysterious man on the other side of the phone makes things very unpleasant for them. The film is well shot, has flow and, even though it starts very adolescent, the outcome doesn’t look sugar coated. The plot twists and turns, unfortunately, are reminiscent of many other films and there’s nothing really surprising to expect (there is a final reckoning, but it’s so banal and predictable as to be almost non-existent), but given how this film flew under the radar, and thanks to the zero initial expectations, it didn’t disappoint. Other than that, it’s nothing memorable, but as a well executed, undemanding genre film, it serves its purpose with sufficiency. ()

English Joe Johnson wrote a script that the directors grabbed a good hold of and made a mainstream horror film that would be worth going to the movie theater to see. The British film Don't Hang Up doesn't really stand out, but it has a decent enough atmosphere and storytelling to keep you entertained and tense all the way to the end. The revelations in the film are not bad at all. ()
