Marine biologist Mathieu (Yoann Blanc) lives like a fish in an aquarium. He spends his days in a Brussels lab but longs for the open sea. Suddenly, everything changes. His mother-in-love Christine (Jo Deseure) has disappeared without a trace and the event deeply triggers Mathieu. He wants to understand her seemingly inexplicable behaviour and finally finds her in a seaside house, where they come to develop a peculiar, friendly relationship. The calm pace and charged atmosphere of the film harmonises with the waves slowly rolling in from the Atlantic on a warm summer day. A drama that addresses the contradiction of feeling young in spite of the passing years and feeling out of sync with your situation. Did you make right choices in life? (Göteborg Film Festival)
