As a child, Asher (Joe Anderson), along with his older brother Chester, were subjected to a vicious beating that left Asher deaf and mute, and Chester dead. Years later, Asher plans to take revenge on the man responsible for that horrific act of violence - his father Ivan. But Ivan won’t surrender without a fight and a brutal struggle between father and son breaks out - a struggle from which only one will walk away. Director Sean Brosnan’s debut is a dark masterpiece; a unique mixture of poetry and violence captured in stunningly beautiful pictures and accompanied with a terrific dirty-twang soundtrack.
