What's the deal with all those frogs in the gas station's makeshift basement laboratory? A love letter to early Peter Jackson and Frank Henenlotter's brand of dodgy biology creature features, it's the Were-Frog horror comedy of the year. After a grisly amphibian attack leaves a college student infected with a mutational disease, the antidote to her affliction is mistaken for drugs by her evil stepfather. Locked in her bedroom without medicine, she transforms into a hideous monster eager to give everyone a taste of their own. Meanwhile an obsessive private investigator uncovers the dark truth about her spawning condition. (FrightFest)
