English Buster Keaton and his quest to make a living through good honest work is sort of about nothing in the first half. It only really gets going from the moment when he gets into trouble with the police and the real slapstick capers begin, and a different ending than you would normally expect in this genre makes this piece that much more unusual. But that just makes the below-average beginning that much more disappointing. ()

English This slapstick is definitely worth it, but only after the police chase. An amazing stunt behind a tram, escapades on a ladder, at the wheel of a steamboat – everything is perfect. But I think the only thing I liked from the first half was the ceremonial burial of the skunk-stained dress. ()
