Much to my surprise, it was oddly entertaining. The plot worked quite well, and in the moments when I, a person used to standard American romcoms, expected melodrama, the sneaky French served me some more comedy. I was considering a 3*+ rating all along, but the great tributes to other films as well as the awesome reference to “Assassin's Creed” made me give a fourth star. (03/08/2018)

A good French comedy that manages to captivate with a story that is not really original - but not badly conceived. Yet it also manages to captivate with individual gags, where sometimes it is surprising how it is quite harsh and how slapstick is used here, although it is modern rather than classic. The humor works well but the romance is a little uninteresting towards the end. (02/10/2018)
