What are the inhabitants of Balmedie up to these days? The small community on the northeast coast of Scotland became involved in a David and Goliath battle, when American billionaire Donald J. Trump wanted to build a luxury golf resort in the middle of a local nature reserve. Filmmaker Anthony Baxter made the documentary You've Been Trumped about the situation in 2011, and now brings us a disconcerting update. The resort was built, of course. For the last five years a 91-year-old resident has been living with a faulty water supply, living on bottled water and water from a nearby stream after a water pipe was damaged during construction of a road to the resort. Despite promises made by Trump's son, the waterworks have not be repaired. But the headstrong and good-natured Scots won't give up without a fight. Baxter uses striking split-screen images to offset the Balmedians' modest way of life, in harmony with nature and each other, with the Trump family lifestyle, including his elephant-hunting sons.
