Guerrilla tells the story of two politically engaged and idealistic young lovers, who set out to fight against the injustice and deep-rooted prejudice that they face on a daily basis in 1970s London. Marcus and Jas are passionate Black Power freedom fighters, whose fervour for each other is matched by their desire for social revolution. Truth be told, I made it through about 4 episodes, and I was struggling to finish it. I wasn’t impressed by this series at all. Directing, acting, and story-wise an absolutely exemplary mediocrity. During the series, I actually had a feeling as if my brain was covered in fog. I didn’t care about the whole story; no emotions arose in me. This is probably not how a series I’m supposed to spend several hours watching should look like.
