The first in Paramount's "Bulldog Drummond" series, Bulldog Drummond Escapes stars Ray Milland as the interminable Hugh "Bulldog" Drummond, who in this episode comes to the rescue of lovely heiress Phyllis Clavering (Heather Angel). A villainous, so-called friend of the family (Porter Hall), who hopes to get his greedy hands on Phyllis's inheritance, has kidnapped her. But even though Drummond's intention is to rescue Phyllis, he winds up being the one in need of rescue. (Echo Bridge Entertainment)
