The Black Room is a disappointment for me. I like films that take a bold subject and are able to present it in a bold, perhaps even controversial way as well. The Black Room is simply not like that and the theme of intimate demonic control is presented very poorly. It lacks the proper drive that such a film could have. Not to mention that it really isn’t scary.
