Asuka works in the Daikokuza cinema, though she hasn't been there for long. While the longtime staff, manager, and patrons are all devastated at the loss of the theater, she doesn't really understand why. But when she begins to have strange dreams, and comes across a mysterious elderly man in the theater, she discovers both why the theater is so precious, and the power of cinema to change lives. A love letter to the Daikokuza cinema and independent theaters around the globe, the film was entirely shot in the real-life Daikokuza before it closed in 2014. (Hawaii International Film Festival)
