Embers

Living by himself, the general has not even opened the shutters for 20 years. Konrád, a friend vanished from his sight a long time ago, arrives at the inn. The general sends a car for him and arranges everything in the castle as it was at their last common dinner 41 years ago. The past unfolds. Henrik, the rich son of a count, and the impoverished, half-Polish born Konrád were raised together, and became army officers. Konrád introduced the beautiful Krisztina to Henrik. Henrik's happiness in marriage ended when he found out that his wife and his friend were about to run away together. Konrád vanished and Krisztina died a few years later in solitude. Now they would be able to clear up what happened back then. They do not pronounce it, yet they know: their friendship was stronger than anything else. (DunaTV)
