English This is a sufficiently playful movie about morals, nevertheless with an excess of comical scenes and, thanks to the excellent acting, is a highly entertaining comedy with the charismatic Walter Matthau as a middle-aged husband who is eager to play away from his marital commitments, but has no idea of how to go about it. Fortunately, this friend Ed is there to help him out, and acts as a walking encyclopedia of how to find the right path to marital infidelity. Director Gene Kelly gracefully balances some controversial topics to demonstrate with humor, what he thinks is the right direction a married man should take, creating a hilarious movie about a straying character who still has the chance to choose the right path.
