The first season of anthology series Miracle Workers is a Heaven-set workplace comedy based on Simon Rich's book What in God's Name. The show stars Daniel Radcliffe, Steve Buscemi, Geraldine Viswanathan and Karan Soni. Radcliffe plays Craig, a low-level angel responsible for handling all of humanity's prayers, and Steve Buscemi plays Craig's boss God, who has pretty much checked out and is ready to move on to his next project. To prevent Earth's destruction, Craig and fellow angel Eliza (Geraldine Viswanathan) must answer a seemingly impossible prayer: help two humans, Laura and Sam, fall in love. (HBO Europe)

English A nice small-scale show from England which could, thanks to its jokes, rank among the best britcoms that the UK has created for our viewing pleasure. In the end it didn’t make it into the hall of fame but these seven episodes were pleasant to watch. The actors were great, the idea was terrific, some moments were almost fantastic. I often think that only the Brits can do humor which is so very sarcastic yet not vulgar. This is the kind of a story which is fun but at the same time you’re glad it ended the way it did and you suspect that the original idea would be spoiled by any sequels. ()

English The series started off fairly decent; it wasn't a masterpiece by any means, but if you wanted to unwind and have some easy entertainment, both the first and second seasons fit the bill. That's why the third season came as such a big surprise to me; it was a steep decline in quality that left a bitter taste. While I used to enjoy it quite a bit, the third season was just dull, and the attempts to reference current events didn't help its case. / Lesson learned: Stay alert, unpleasant surprises are waiting for a chance to strike.
