This Crazy Heart

This Crazy Heart It is an incredibly easygoing film about two completely different people brought together one day by fate, which changed both of their lives. Elyas M'Barek tries out a slightly more serious role after Zekim and it really suits him, but the rest of the cast were supremely likeable and believable. Even though the film deals with an issue that has been similarly filmed multiple times, it still comes across as endearing and novel. A film that manages to perfectly blend both dramatic and comic moments, moving, entertaining and enlightening all at the same time. (02/24/2019)

Lenny is a slacker who has to keep company to the dying David. He's not happy about it, but he soon discovers that this boy has grown on him. They become buddies, but an insidious disease lurks around the corner… This Crazy Heart unfortunately brings nothing new to the genre of poignant comedies, but most of all, it's afraid to be really funny and entertaining, and in the end it's mostly boring. Rewatching The Intouchables will give you more. (09/13/2018)
