Oh Mammy Blue!

Laura is a 70-year-old hippie who is retired and lives in an old people’s home. Every day, she stirs up revolt, much to the annoyance of the home’s manager: one moment she might be encouraging the elderly folks to do some yoga, the next she might be showing them the therapeutic benefits of marijuana or forming a band. But nobody knows that she was in fact Laurie Amnesia, a rock’n’roll muse from the 1960s; she was the most hip and stylish of her time and even hung out with Jimi Hendrix one summer when he was on Majorca. That remains her big secret until Juan, the only resident with any appreciation of music, and a big fan of Laurie Amnesia’s, turns up. To top it all off, Laura’s grandson (who is convinced that he is a secret descendant of the legendary American guitarist) is determined to get her back on stage.
