English Unpredictable access to the backstage of one of the most famous football clubs in history. La Vecchia Signora is celebrating 120 years, she is in the shadow of two unsuccessful finals of the Champions League in three years, under pressure at home stadium in an attempt to further defend the scudetto, to make everything even worse in the middle of rebuilding the team. Legends come to the spotlight (yes, including Nedvěd), focus is also on history, pressure, fans, backstage of the team, customs, combining career with family, matches, rivalries. Not that we have not seen anything similar in the past, but it has never been something so “up-to-date" (now in the spring of 2018 three episodes mapping the autumn part of the 2017/2018 season and during the World Cup 2018 the spring part will be released again) and such much space is given (these are usually documentaries with full-length footage). It is excellent and undeniably interesting even for the non-fan of Juve, let alone for someone who has black and white blood circulating in their veins. But as topicality is the main attraction, it is a double-edged sword, as it is somewhat smooth and soft because of it. It never lapses into a dull hymn, it´s not the case but you can clearly see that everyone is being reserved towards the crew and no one ever says anything critical. In this respect, if the movie had been made after some time, it might have helped a lot. At the same time, because it being made on the fly during the season, and not after it, the film makers can't follow a common theme / denominator throughout the season in each episodes since they don't know how everything turns out and what happens next.
