I can't help but feel that it's a shame that these films often rely on the premise of the talking donkey, with Peter trying to convince everyone that it's true, while the donkey Francis stubbornly refuses to admit it until the very end of the movie. Fortunately, there is some really good verbal humor and some funny situations that redeem the repetitive skeleton. ()
