Copenhagen in the 1950s. Criminal investigator Olsen begins working on a case in which a bank robber shot two bank clerks and ran away with the money. He seemed to have been in a trance. Olsen finds out that the robber has been in prison with the charismatic Nielsen. Could it be possible that Nielsen mind-controlled his former fellow inmate into committing the robbery? The investigator seeks help from a well-known psychiatrist specializing in hypnosis. Together they delve deep into the world of mental manipulation.
