English As I had hoped, a bit of patience paid off and we're finally getting into the right vibe. The creators took a mild approach to the opening episode, allowing the more sensitive viewer to ease in, and while they didn't exactly come out swinging with the second episode, they still lifted the lid on a pot that doesn't exactly emit the most pleasant aroma. And you know what? It suits me just fine; the more Roy's family members reveal their true selves, the more repulsive it gets, and the more twistedly I enjoy it. Tom, played by Matthew Macfadyen, is perhaps the most loathsome; I find even unscrupulous jerks more sympathetic than this caricature of a man. Well played, I must say. / Lesson learned: If a shark puts on sunglasses, surfers are in for a problem. ()
