Ikki Kurogane may have come from a long line of Blazers, people with the ability to create weapons or devices manifested from their souls, but as far as the Hagun Academy is concerned, he's been a major disappointment in the magical powers department. He is so disappointing, in fact, that he's earned the unfortunate nickname of the "Worst One". However, things change for Ikki in the most surprising way when Princess Stella Vermillion, the most promising Rank-A Blazer to come along in many years, decides to transfer to Hagun. When she challenges him to a duel where the loser must obey the winner for the rest of their life, the last thing anyone expects is that the Worst One might prove to be a match for the Crimson Princess... and the unforeseen consequences will push the boundaries of society itself! I had a strong sense of déjà vu and felt like I was watching The Asterisk War again. It feels as if someone wrote a carbon copy of that show because the amount of tropes is evident even in this first episode. Fortunately, the main male protagonist is not a completely lost cause, his reaction to the fact that he unexpectedly sees a girl in her underwear was hilarious and perfectly fine. The main female protagonist is not completely vain either, and their relationship seems interesting. So, again, this is something I have seen before, and the title might as well be (as one reviewer said) more like this, "The Absolute Duo's Asterisks Magic Highschool Blade Dance Sky Wizard's World Break of a Failed Knight!". Plus, in the later episodes, they threw in things I do not approve of like a storyline about incest involving the main male protagonist's sister who likes her brother. I do not like such things in an anime series so this puts it in the "no thanks" box, and I am done after three episodes. The final impression is somewhere around 2/10.
