English Barely three stars. Escape Room is an unnecessary soft variation on Saw without all of the blood and sadism. Conceptually, it is completely same, with uninteresting characters and an even less interesting wannabe Jigsaw. Nothing in the movie irritated me. The filmmaking is alright, but I found nothing in it that was surprising or particularly pleasing. An unambitious throwaway movie for teenagers. ()

English Robitel delivers exactly what the trailer promised: a very well crafted, fast-paced technological-puzzle thriller with hints of Cube and Saw. It’s 100% and without any doubt a popcorn flick, free of any horror art that could be engraved in my memory, but I have no problem with that. If all popcorn cinema tasted like this, it would be great. As a fan of real scape rooms, I appreciated that the premise is used properly. Many of the rooms and puzzles that can be seen in the film reminded me of things that you can find in actual scape rooms. So, at least in this, the film is well anchored in reality, even if the plot is farfetched at times (especially the final setting for the sequel). The resolution is a bit disappointing, the creators didn’t bother too much with explaining all of it, and the point lies basically on what anyone can come up with first. But I can take that. Overall, it’s pretty good fun and won’t refuse a sequel. ()

English At the first glance it looks like someone copied from Saw and Cube. With the only difference being that at the time those movies were made, nobody knew what an “escape room” was. And I must say that I liked it. Not as a horror, but rather as a thriller. I was enjoying myself. Maybe because I’ve never been to any escape rooms. And after this movie I will think twice about going. ()

English I've always enjoyed these variations on Saw and Cube, so I appreciate each new addition. The characters are likeable, they behave rationally and you care about them, which is the most important thing in films like this. The lack of gore doesn't matter at all in the end, because there wasn't even room for it. Rather than a horror film, Escape Room is closer to a thriller, but it still manages to build tension in abundance. Technically perfect, all the rooms are used to their full potential, and the ending didn't disappoint me – solid and perfect cinema entertainment. The only minus for me was putting the last scene at the beginning, which slightly spoils the surprise. Adam Robitel just keeps getting better and better. 75%. ()

English One of those movies that just keeps getting worse. The ending downright annoyed me, although I had a pretty good time in the first room and even liked the characters' believable panic sometime into the ice scene. ()

English I’m not sure if I managed to figure out all the films that this film rips off, but off the top of my head it’s: Cube, Saw, Final Destination and House of 9. The result was that I felt like I had already seen every bit of the film before. It did not impress or surprise me and I basically consider it a pointless effort. ()

English A likeable clone of Saw and Cube benefiting above all from the current boom in escape games. It's consumerist entertainment in every sense, skimming the surface for the entire running time, but that's more than enough. Plus, it's very suspenseful, and if you've ever actually played an escape game, you'll probably enjoy the whole thing a little more. The quest rooms are well thought out, the actors are decent, the craftsmanship is top notch. I'd go for a sequel in a heartbeat. ()
