The Mire (2018)

English This series won me over from the very start by how excellently it captured the atmosphere of my childhood. Otherwise, after the first two episodes, I was having doubts because the theme was appealing but the story seemed a little bland and slow-paced. Fortunately, the third episode brought a change, the story picked up momentum and the following two episodes convinced me of a high quality. If you are on the fence after the first two episodes, hang in there, the following three episodes are definitely worth it. ()

Episode 1 (2019) (S01E01)

English Lately, I can't complain about Polish creations. Almost every title I choose to watch, I enjoy. I would rate the first episode of the series with the traditional three stars, which represent a decent impression, but at the same time mean that the opening episode didn't amaze me in any way. Nonetheless, it was a solid start on which to build. ()

Episode 2 (2019) (S01E02)

English I expected to rate it higher after the first episode, but I can't shake the feeling that this matter lacks a faster pace. The story has a decent potential, the creators managed to create a decent period atmosphere (after a very, very long time I saw Źuk again), it's just that the plot could be more lively. ()

Episode 3 (2019) (S01E03)

English The third episode was the best one for me so far. Curious journalists finally started delving deeper into both cases and it began to stir not only comrades but also hormones. I enjoyed it much more than the previous two parts and I hope it will continue like this for me. ()

Episode 4 (2019) (S01E04)

English In the comment about the previous episode, I wrote that it was the best episode so far, and I am very glad for that word "so far". The immediate return of the story immediately took the lead for me because it had a wonderfully written screenplay that only benefited from being translated onto the screen. Excellently executed matter. ()

Episode 5 (2019) (S01E05)

English I was torn between giving it four or five stars, but ultimately, I settled on the latter. The scriptwriters pulled off a satisfying conclusion without faltering at the final hurdle, delivering a meaningful ending that kept me on the edge of my seat. Overall, I enjoyed it. ()
