Benoit, 14, leaves the countryside for Paris. His first day at school turns out to be more difficult than expected, and he quickly becomes isolated. Until one day, Johanna, a new Swedish girl arrives in class. Benoit decides to throw a party at home but only three people show up... three nerds, Aglaée, Red Head and Constantin. Against all odds, they have the greatest night together. Finally accepted by the other upper class clique, he drops his three friends to become popular. (San Sebastian International Film Festival)

I can't help but feel that lately there are just too many movies like this about kids gradually growing up. These kids aren't quite coming of age yet; they're more trying to come to terms with their own reality, but that doesn't change the fact that I was simply bored by it. The intention is good, but I'm just tired of this kind of film.
