Pardon

The Polish Security Ministry repeatedly dug up and reburied the body of a soldier, killed in 1946, and considered an enemy of the state. His parents finally abscond with the coffin to bury their son at a revered religious site. They are accompanied in their dangerous journey by a fugitive from a prison camp. These acts of courage and love, based on a true story, are recounted from the point of view of the couple’s grandson. (Montreal World Film Festival)
