Emma Peeters is about to turn 35 and her acting career is as much on the rocks as her Parisian personal life. She decides that something needs to change and settles on a radical solution to escape her boredom and state of mediocrity: a suicide on the very eve of her birthday. Her undertaker becomes unexpectedly involved in the morbid preparations – and in Emma. Emma Peeters is a charmingly weird rom-com, where black comedy and pink romance create a balance to the message: if we weren’t thinking so much about being happy, we would be far happier.
