The darkly comic series Sally4Ever follows the life of Sally (Catherine Shepherd), a soon-to-be promoted marketer who, for 10 years, has lived a comfortable and dull suburban life with David (Alex Macqueen). But on the night he asks her to marry him, Sally has a crisis and embarks on a wild affair with Emma (Julia Davis), a seductive, charismatic, boho actress, singer, musician, poet and author. Before Sally knows it, Emma has moved in, rearranged the furniture and her life. Is this really what Sally wants, or has she made a mistake? (HBO Europe)

A totally wacky show. You can see that the wheels in Julia Davis’ head is just wired differently. Her style of rough humor reminds you of two drunk guys at the local dive bar who feel like discussing some lewd stuff. And that’s just the moment when she is getting started. Too bad that in the TV show it only works for a short while. There is probably one brutal scene per episode at the expense of the average rest of the show.
