English Hakuna Matata! One of the last really good classic Disney cartoons for all the family. The songs are mainly palatable, the Hamlet-like story teaches the kids a valuable lesson and the animation is perfect. And the wonderful background music by Hans Zimmer is a real treat. And almost all of the characters are incredibly likeable. The ones who stay in the forefront of the mind are Timon and Pumbaa - they even got their own serial later. ♫ The songs in the OST score: 3/5 ()

English Simba...... Maybe the most magnificent Disney movie ever, with a superb soundtrack and a touching tearjerker from Elton John. A dramatically accentuated story that, however, includes a classic theme of a deceived individual with a trauma in their heart, who regains what rightfully belongs to them. It is probably the brightest example that Disney can think as much about children as they do about parents. ()

English My favorite “new" Disney movie. It’s just got it all. A great story, lots of excellent jokes and amazing music by Hans Zimmer. When I first saw Lion King I can’t have been older than ten and its world totally swallowed me up. I even bought that sort of album that you stuck stickers into. It’s simply really powerful and I look forward to watching Simba and his crew again sometime. 100% ()

English The 32nd Disney Feature Film My whole generation grew up on The Lion King, and my whole elementary school used to shout Hakuna Matata... However, I only knew the game version at the time. This is also true in the case of Aladdin. And I knew Aladdin and Ariel primarily as a TV series. It is therefore a very strange feeling to sit down with the original for the first time in the context of a new remake. Despite the fondness I have for much of the Disney Renaissance, the magic is gone. Today, I'm more impressed by Elton John's argument with the studio than the resulting film. ()

English Probably the most iconic animated film ever. A beautiful view into a diverse animal world full of adventure, friendship and of course great fun. It took me a long time to watch it, because cartoon+musical equals big boredom for me, ut here everything is so perfectly put together, all the scenes, including the ones with songs, are brilliantly and humorously conceived and all the characters are more than likeable. Plus, Hans Zimmer's Oscar-winning score is truly otherworldly. I wholeheartedly recommend it. ()

English Another Disney movie, which is famous and yet eluded me for a while. Finally, I could watch it and finally I could say that it is another pinnacle of this studio. The animation was still beautiful after those twenty-one years and the story, although simple, is simply powerful and leaves an impression on the viewer, no matter how old they are. ()
