Created and executive produced by Darren Star and based on Candace Bushnell's best-selling book of the same name, Sex and the City stars Sarah Jessica Parker as thirtysomething writer Carrie Bradshaw whose firsthand experiences on the New York singles scene serve as the inspiration for her newspaper column: Sex and the City.
