Three Robots (2019) (S01E02)

English Say "terabyte". I can sense inspiration from (apart from The Matrix) Simak’s "City", but without the dogs. The robot tourists are likeable and I think that I would have welcomed spending more than 12 minutes with them. These were humans. Bouncing things was close to maxing out their cognitive range. ()

The Witness (2019) (S01E03)

English The outcome would have been the same if the roles hadn’t reversed; this alone isn’t enough. This catchy, neo-noir movie needs an explanation, but we get none. The visuals are spellbinding, so you don’t notice the brevity of the story because of the running tits and beaver. ()

When The Yogurt Took Over (2019) (S01E06)

English An absurdly fruitful idea squeezed to the last drop. It works on multiple levels, with humor and lots of details (the picture of a popular cereal in the Oval Office) which make this one of the best episodes in the whole series. I’ll treat yogurt with greater respect from now on. In fact, I need to buy some ASAP. :-D ()

Volume 2 (2021) (S02)

English This short anthology of quality short stories doesn’t explicitly offer any bomb like the previous ones, but it’s definitely worth watching. I like Pop Squad the most, with its veneer of crime noir reminding one of the worlds of Philip K. Dick. All Through the House should be obligatory for all of naughty kids. ()

Volume 3 (2022) (S03)

English A powerful series full of bold narrative experiments. A moralizing work from Fincher about unfathomable sailors throws out the bait and the viewer is hooked until the end. The homage to Lovecraft almost sighs (shame about little glitches - robots instead of Shoggoth and the truncated ending) and the frenetic ending about a deaf miser and the siren had my jaw dropped to the floor. And no shortage of witty moments. Although the return of the Three Robots is no longer such a wow as first time round, but it is still very well-done and Mason’s Rats is an absurdly bloody massacre. Night of the Mini Dead shows the huge scale that the miniatures have to offer and gives the destruction of the earth an even wittier slant. The best season so far. ()
