Three stories ('The Garden of Eden', 'The Open Country of a Lonely Man', and 'Riedgost') by a new generation of Czech filmmakers who combine personal friendship with a common approach to work. They reveal a raw, non-cliplike poetic combining actors and nonactors and an interest in finding value in places normally thought of as 'armpits of the world.'
