A pointsman, played by Jim van der Woude, leads a solitary and well-regulated life in his post next to an out-of-the-way railway that connects the city to 'the south'. But his tranquillity and harmony are permanently disrupted when a woman from the city mistakenly gets off at the pointsman's post. He becomes completely infatuated with the woman, but the mailman is also captivated by the lovely lady. Shot in Scotland, this feature film is based on Jean-Paul Franssens's book from 1982.
